Function

The System Management Software (SMS) enables you to overview all applications on your Players (and other inventory).

Usage

When starting the application you will have to specify an user name and password to login. If the database is not setup then go into File > Settings and setup the Dise Complete database settings, then you have to restart the application to be able to login to the database.

On the left you have a tree view of all Projects, Sites, Players and Inventory. You can always select one or more items from this list to filter what is shown in the General and Events list. If you select All then everything will be included.

If there is an error or problem on a Player, this will be shown with a red symbol in the list. Everything without problems is shown with green symbols.

To the left above the list of Projects, etc. you have Only show entries with errors, this will as described only show the items that are displayed in Red. This will help you get a better overview of problems in a large system.

General

Information about the item(s) selected on the left.

Does also contain a list of Messages for the selected items. Read more about Messages below.

Problems

A problem can be created for each Player or Inventory item. Problems can be used to follow up issues in the system.

Events

Events are the log messages from the applications in the system.

Archived events

Selecting Look at events from the Archive will display events that have been archived by the Dise Complete Service.

Map

In certain configurations it is more visible to see your Players and their status plotted on a map. Contact us for more information on how to set this up.

Messages

All inventory (applications, screens, etc.) can store messages in the Dise Complete database. A Message is either related to an action, like Playing or to an error, like Replay error.

You can view the Messages in the General tab in this application.

Each Message will have a time when it was reported, so the application will display for how long this message have been visible. The messages does also have a level that will help different applications to decide if this is an error or a status message.

It is possible to change the levels of messages, as you can see below in the Alarm settings dialog.

Properties

Auto-refresh main view

Refesh the view automatically using a specific interval.

Error threshold

From what level should messages result in red symbols in the application?

Alarm settings

Use alarm sound on errors

The alarm will sound when there is a change in status of the inventory items and the new error level is higher than the error level you specify here

Sound file

The WAV file to play when there is an alarm

Repeat sound

If enabled the sound will be repeated until you turn it off, otherwise it will just be played once.

E-Mail notification

E-Mail notification is configured here in the SMS application. But the e-mails will be sent by the Dise Complete Service, so you will have to configure how e-mail should be sent in the Dise Complete Service Manager application.

Send e-mails on error

E-mails will be sent out if there is a change in status of the inventory items and the new error level is between the From level and To level that you specify.

E-Mail body

The templates for the SMS E-Mail notifications can contain the following macros:

Macro Description
%shortdigest Short information about the most important new alert.
%digest Information about all current alerts.
%total The total number of alerts.
%new The number of new alerts (since the last notification).
%date The date when the alert was generated.
%time The time when the alert was generated.

Error levels

As described above, all inventory items will be able to register messages with different levels. And each inventory type (application type) will register unique message types, that are visible with their levels on this tab.

Here you can double click on any of the error levels to change the message error level. You can also control if this message should result in creating an event when it is set.

The main reason for changing the levels of the messages is that you can have messages that you do not regard as errors and that should not distribute e-mails or be visible from the application. In that case you can change the level so that it is outside the levels you decide in other places in this application.
