Dise One Installation

Requirements

Before installing Dise One, you will need:

• 1 or 2 PC:s meeting the system requirements.
• That the computers are connected on the local area network (LAN).

Pre-install considerations

• First is determining which computer will be the Manager.

This computer does not have to be great performance-wise, but it helps when you preview your material.

• One computer will be running 24/7 showing your material. This is the Player.

On this computer you will want to have a good graphics card and hardware.

Of course, if you want the manager and player on the same computer, the decision is an easy one.

• The user account on the player should have permissions to share a folder on the network.

Installing

• Run the installer package on the manager and player.

Note: The order in which you setup the manager / player does not matter.

• You have the choice whether to do an express installation or custom installation.

• The custom installation will let you choose exactly what applications to install to disk. You also have the possibility to install software to handle certain type of media, such as PDF addon, Quicktime or Flash player.

• There is also demo content ready for installation, all of which is free to use in your presentations.
• The installer will ask where to put the DiseContent folder. It holds demo content and useable presets. By default it will install in the system disk (C:\DiseContent).
• After the files have been installed, run the Dise Setup Wizard.
